Mossy Oak drives further into angling with MLF partnership

Camouflage brand Mossy Oak has partnered with Major League Fishing (MLF) to become the official pattern for its 2018 pro-fishing competition and its TV show on the Outdoor Channel.

The deal means that anglers taking part in the high-profile events will wear the Mississippi company’s Elements pattern designed for fishermen.

Mossy Oak signaled its intent in the fishing market earlier this year when it launched a line of fishing-specific patterns, partnered with B.A.S.S and signed with bass fishing’s biggest name, Kevin VanDam

“We saw a tremendous opportunity to support bass fishing through the MLF circuit and TV show,” said Ben Maki, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Mossy Oak.

“We’re excited to sponsor fishing on the professional level, which gets millions of eyeballs on the Outdoor Channel, Discovery and digitally through MyOutdoorTV.”

Jim Wilburn, General Manager of MLF, said that Mossy Oak’s move into fishing made it an ideal partner. “It’s an exciting opportunity to put the Mossy Oak Elements pattern into millions of households and combine two industry-leading brands,” he added.

Mossy Oak, part of Haas Outdoors Inc., is also the official pattern of Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.
