Former American Sportfishing Association President and CEO, Mike Nussman, has been honoured for his ‘outstanding’ commitment to conservation.
He has been presented with the Eddie Smith Manufacturer of the Year Award by the Center for Sportfishing Policy (CSP), the non-partisan campaigning arm for North America’s recreational fishing industry.
“Mike Nussman is committed to sharing his passion for fishing with others and ensuring recreational fishing exists for future generations,” said Jeff Angers, President of the CPC. “He serves as an example of a true leader in conservation and we honour him for playing an important role in the battle for access to America’s public fishery resources.”
The award was presented during this year’s American Boating Conference welcome lunch and honours those in the marine manufacturing community who have shown an outstanding commitment to conservation.
Previous recipients of the award include Bill Shedd (AFTCO) and Johnny Morris (Bass Pro Shops).
