Mann’s Bait Company, the Eufala, Alabama, lure manufacturer, has reintroduced the Preacher’s Jig – a pattern that first came to the fore in the eighties.
The jig forged its reputation bringing success to many tournament bass fishermen, who found it particularly effective for catching schooling fish on underwater ledges.
More recent success in FLW and B.A.S.S. competitions has now triggered a resurgence of the lure and Mann’s has responded to consumer demand with the introduction of a new version of the original classic.
The Mann’s Bait Preacher’s Jig is built from components comparable to its predecessor and is available in four colours – original, deluxe, grey ghost and green back shad – and in the popular half ounce size.
“The bait outperforms imitations and incorporates the Mann’s traditional attention to detail and quality,” says the company.
All Mann’s Bait saltwater and freshwater baits are made in the US and distributed in the domestic market as well as in more than 50 countries worldwide.
