US fishing boat manufacturer, Lund, has unveiled its latest tiller model, the 208 Pro-V GL.
Tournament class tiller boats have long been a focus for the Minnesota company, which says this latest launch is in response to a resurgence in their popularity. Says Lund Product Manager, Rory Wiebe: “There is a growing demand for trolling style tiller boats and the 208 Pro-V GL Tiller represents the next generation in the category.”
The 208 Pro-V GL Tiller is built on Lund’s benchmark IPS2 fiberglass hull and, at 20 feet eight inches long, accommodates five people. It is rated for up to a 250 hp Mercury outboard and equipped with standard power tilt steering.
The many features include a specially designed tackle storage unit and a lockable command console designed to house and protect the latest in wide-screen sonar/GPS mapping units. Integrated tool and cup holders are provided, along with an optimised rod storage system with room for up to 11, seven to eight foot rods.
“Everything is integrated and within easy reach, including tons of storage space, livewells, and bait wells,” says Al Lindner. “The amount of ‘stretch-out’ space in this boat is incredible, too. If you’re a serious walleye angler, guide or tournament fisherman, this truly is your dream machine.”
Wiebe added: “We’re a tight-knit group of anglers and engineers who work closely with the best anglers in the country. Experts like Al Lindner, Gary Roach, Ted Takasaki, along with numerous others, provide ideas and design input that we take from the water to concept, and then back to the water again.”
