UK tackle manufacturer and distributor Leeda is set to launch a new brand to its portfolio – the Concept GT.
The company says it is designed to cater for anglers who want match-oriented kit at a budget price. Called Concept GT, Leeda adds that it will be a ‘must-stock’ range for retailers who are keen to target newcomers and those anglers who have tight budgets, but don’t want to compromise on quality.
Leeda’s Coarse and Match Brand Manager, Mike Robinson, said: “Historically, Leeda has always done great business with price-focused kit for anglers who don’t have a lot of money to spend, but for this year we’re upping the ante with Concept GT.
“The main aim for the brand, aside from creating a range that pushes budget tackle to new levels, is to give retailers a desirable set of products that defy the traditional ‘budget’ stereotype. Within Concept GT there are rods with awesome blanks, luggage that offers much of the features found in high-end designs, and a truly versatile range that gives the end user true value for money.
“The branding is very ‘on-trend’ and the rods in particular really do give more expensive blanks a run for their money – after all, just because consumers are on a tight budget, they should still receive tackle that looks and work great.
“Concept GT is set to be launched at iceTackle 2016 and is just the start of a very bright future for a brand that definitely has room to grow and become the go-to match brand for price-conscious anglers.”
The initial launch of Concept GT will be based around a full set of waggler and feeder rods, seven pieces of luggage, plus landing net handles and poles, including margin versions.
