Leeda, one of the UK’s largest tackle manufacturers and distributors, has appointed Richard Farnan to the role of National Sales Manager.
Known to many people as ‘Cash’, Farnan has been involved extensively in the angling trade with roles at Trakker Products as UK Sales Manager, where he oversaw huge growth in the brand’s turnover, Gardner Tackle as Sales & Marketing Manager, and David Hall Publishing where he was Business Development Manager for the UK’s most popular weekly magazine, Total Carp.
There he achieved the company’s highest ever annual sales figures. He has also been a regular figure in the angling press thanks to an enviable record of catching big carp from known waters around the UK.
Farnan’s appointment will have him oversee Leeda’s sales initiatives around the UK, managing the company’s team of UK sales agents and working closely with the Milton Keynes-based brand teams and marketing department to help drive the MAP, Wychwood and Leeda own brands forward. In addition, he will also be responsible for strengthening key third party brands such as Mustad, Maxima, Deeper Smart Fishfinder and Wiley-X eyewear.
Dominic Langan, CEO of Leeda and Madison, said: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to the Leeda team for this key sales role. We continue to seek out and invest in high calibre, commercial and motivated individuals from the industry to help drive the turnaround of the business and to achieve our aggressive growth plans. Richard’s appointment is a part of this process.”
