EFTTEX 2016 newcomer and award-winner Kvalvik has secured a major distribution deal that will see its innovative baits distributed across France.
The Norwegian manufacturer of specialised fish attractants, which won the Best New Soft Dough/Natural Bait category in the Angling International-sponsored Best New Product Awards, has come to an agreement with Powerline, maker of braid, fluorocarbon and monofilament fishing lines and owner of the Jig Power lure brand.
The two companies first made contact during Kvalvik’s first-ever EFTTEX in Amsterdam this year following a visit to its booth by Powerline’s Marketing and International Business Manager, Mügé Serdaroglu and General Manager Thierry Jahiel. “Compared to other attractants the cream from Kvalvik was much better quality and the aroma was superior to anything else we tested,” said Serdaroglu.
“We believe that they will be a perfect fit for our lures and are already manufacturing baits that we feel will ideally fit the attractant.”
Aside from its own products, Powerline distributes a number of Japanese brands in France including Sasame, Shout and Ryugi.
Haakon Worum, Marketing and Sales Manager for Kvalvik, added: “France is a huge market and I am delighted to be cooperating in it with a company that is focused on innovation – Powerline fits both the mission and identity of our company.”
He added that Kvalvik will initially be supplying Powerline on an exclusive basis with its salmon/trout and cod attractants.
