Korkers Omnitrax Sole System: fighting the spread of diseases
Korkers says that in the current economic climate its Omnitrax Interchangeable Sole System makes a compelling proposition.
You can buy one pair of boots and adapt them for different conditions and terrains by selecting from a choice of soles.
The Portland, Oregon, company adds that in addition to the practical benefit of having just one pair of boots, the Omnitrax System provides anglers with environmentally-responsible options to help reduce the spread of invasive diseases.
Drainage ports in mid-sole expel water under downward pressure to minimise retention and speed up drying time.
Omnitrax originally came with a tool to put it onto the boot, but when Korkers learnt it was not being used, the soles were redesigned so that they simply snap into place.
There are five soles currently available: Kling-On, Studded Kling-On, Plain-Felt, Studded Felt and Studded Rubber – a sixth option, Svelte, was unveiled at the IFTD show in New Orleans and will be available in April.
Svelte has been designed to provide superior grip to felt and rubber and boasts five times less water absorption than felt. It is also said to dry four times faster.
