The deadline for pre-registration for the 2015 Sportfishing Summit in Florida is just weeks away.
The event – organised by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) – is the industry’s premier networking and business development meeting and this year it takes place from October 20th to 22nd at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel, St Pete Beach, Florida.
The pre-registration and housing block deadline is on Wednesday, September 16th and would-be attendees can download a pdf of the form at Sportfishing Summit Registration Form.
The ASA says that the emphasis during the three-day event will be on the future, paying particular attention to the three key factors that will keep the industry moving forward – recruiting new anglers, retaining the ones it has and re-engaging those who have lapsed back into the sport.
Keynote speakers at the Sportfishing Summit are Ken Schmidt and Cam Marston.
Schmidt, as Corporate Communications Director, helped to orchestrate the turnaround that changed Harley Davidson into an international brand. He will be speaking during the afternoon general session on Tuesday (October 20th).
Marston, President of Generational Insight, is a leading expert on generational change and its impact on the marketplace. He will be speaking during the afternoon general session on Wednesday (October 21st).
On the Wednesday evening the ASA will be hosting the Sportfishing Summit Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation which will see the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement and Future of Fishing Awards honoured.
