KastKing is set to exhibit at the second of the series of Fly Fishing Shows across the US as it announces its presence in the sector.
The company – part of the Poseidon group – launched what it describes as a completely new and affordable range of fly fishing products at the Denver show earlier this month and will be following it up with an appearance at the first ever event in Edison – formerly the Somerset show – which runs from January 26th to 28th.
Among the 2018 KastKing releases are a series of five new fly fishing lines: Exergy Floating, Propel Floating, BackKast Fly Line Backing, Paramount Tipper and Rubicon Nylon Tapered Leaders.
It also unveiled its ‘unique’ biodegradable BioSpool fishing line spool in Denver. It is made with wheat straw waste products and will replace the brand’s traditional hard plastic spools. It is designed to completely break down in the soil within 12 months to reduce landfill bulk.
“It was only four years ago that we broke into the fishing tackle market in a big way with our KastKing SuperPower Braid. Since then other high quality braids, monofilaments, copolymers and fluorocarbons have followed. They exceeded our sales expectations and customer satisfaction,” said Tom Gahan, Chief Marketing Officer at KastKing.
“The addition of biodegradable spools to our fly lines – and eventually to all our lines – supports our vision statement. BioSpools completely revolutionises the world view of fishing products and environmental sensibility.”
Angling International Marketing Director Stuart Pavlik will be attending the Edison Fly Show at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center. Be sure to look him up, or arrange a meeting by emailing him at
