JigSkinz is star of the show for American Tackle

American Tackle has been around the block when it comes to garnering international trade show awards.
The company burst onto the global stage with its MicroWave Guide System, and as its product portfolio has been expanded to include items like lines and lures so has its stock – culminating in another double at this week’s China Fish Show when it won the Terminal Tackle Award for JigSkinz and the Fishing Accessory category for its latest MicroWave Guide technology.
However, there was no doubt in the mind of American Tackle co-owner Darrin Heim, on which was the stand-out product at its booth in Beijing. “It was the JigSkinz,” he says unequivocally. “During demonstrations the aisle around our booth was jam-packed. People watched open mouthed – they had never seen anything like it.”
The innovative custom lure cover was making its debut at China Fish, following its introduction last year when American Tackle took over the sales and marketing rights.
A double award for the Florida-based business was the icing on the cake of a very successful China Fish show. “We wrote orders and signed up distributors there,” added Heim. “The biggest difference to previous years was that we met new customers from countries that we have not done business with before, including South Africa, the Maldives and India.”
