ICAST launch: Ernest Hemingway sunglasses
The son of the legendary author Ernest Hemingway was at ICAST to unveil a range of sunglasses named in his father’s honour.
Patrick Hemingway launched the Ernest Hemingway Polarised Performance Sunglasses from the US-based Onos Trading Company at a special press conference at the show.
“I look at the new Ernest Hemingway sunglasses and, yes, I think my father would choose to wear these,” he said.
Chris Nelson, Onus National Sales Manager, added: “Ernest Hemingway died in 1961, but his reputation lives on as a literary giant and world adventurer. Now, his name also becomes a brand.”
Ernest Hemingway Polarised Performance Sunglasses will retail for less than $180 as single focus ‘plano’ sunglasses or as duel focus sunglasses, featuring standard upper lenses and low-profile bi-focal readers with 1.50, 2.00 and 2.50 magnifications.
The collection includes models with HI-VEX Grey or HI-VEX Amber lenses that have 100% protection from UVB and UVA rays. They come in six ranges – Cojimar, Pilar, Pamplona, Walloona, Irati and Torero.
