Hi-Seas, the specialist in high-quality line, leader and rigging products, today (Wednesday) unveiled a new addition to its new Grand Slam series at the ICAST show in Las Vegas.
Grand Slam Fluorocarbon Coated was available for dealers and the world’s media to see at the Hi-Seas booth, number 1509, on the opening day of the world’s biggest fishing tackle trade show.
The line is an extra strong, 100% copolymer with a fluorocarbon outer coating. Hi-Seas say the it is virtually invisible and can be used in any water conditions, but comes into its own in clear shallows or top water.
“This latest Grand Slam line is extremely supple and easy to cast using both bait casting and spinning reels,” said Hi-Seas’ Sales Manager, Steve Miller, on the eve of the show. “It is ultra-manageable, easy to knot and delivers high knot strength and abrasion resistance.”
Jimmy Houston, former Bassmaster Classic Champion and a familiar face on American TV for more than 30 years, has no hesitation in endorsing the new line. “Grand Slam Fluorocarbon Coated provides the best of both worlds,” says Houston. “It has all the strength, low memory and abrasion resistance of Hi-Seas premium copolymer, along with the benefits of fluorocarbon. It’s a great hybrid line.”
The Coatesville, Pennsylvania, company also produces the American Fishing Wire brand and claims to have the largest selection of wire line and leader products in the industry. All of its wire, strand and cable products are manufactured in the US.
