Debuting at ICAST 2013 is an all-new line of technique-specific rods from US manufacturer Denali. The Kovert Series of eight models (six casting and two spinning) will take pride of place on the Denali booth, number 465.
Denali Rods President, Scott Estes, is confident the new collection will be a huge hit among a broad spectrum of anglers. “The Kovert Series has been designed from the ground up to be the best rod available in its price range,” says Estes.
“The rods incorporate a whole host of in-demand features, like Skeleton reel seats to reduce fatigue and micro guides for optimum casting performance. We worked extremely hard to create a phenomenal rod and keep it at the $130-$150 price point, which is affordable for anglers of all skill levels.”
In addition to the minimalist features, the Kovert Series line-up is also equipped with lightweight EVA foam grips and a new take on the Denali stabilised hardwood foregrip. They they are built on sensitive IM-8 graphite blanks.
The two multi-purpose spinning rods in the series are 6ft 10ins and 7ft 2ins long. The casting rods include a 6ft 9ins medium-heavy, spinnerbait; a 6ft 10ins medium, crankbait; a 7ft 2ins medium-heavy, worm and jig; a 7ft 2ins heavy, worm and jig; a 7ft 6ins medium heavy, crankbait; and a 7ft 8ins extra heavy, flippin’.
