Huk makes additions to senior management team

US apparel manufacturer Huk has announced several additions to its senior management team in a move designed to take the brand to the next level.
The appointments include the hiring of Al Perkinson, formerly of Simms Fishing Products and Costa Sunglasses, as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, and Todd Howard, an apparel industry veteran and former senior executive at Global Bands and Tommy Hilfiger as President.
Lawrance ‘Squig’ Quigley has also joined the company as Chief of Product Design. He was previously Head of Apparel Design for Oakley, Local Motion and Rip Curl and founder of Fishworks.
“We believe that Huk is one of the most exciting brands young brands in the outdoor world,” said Chairman Edwin Lewis. “We are inviting the best, most seasoned professionals in the apparel business to join us in taking us to the next level. Todd, Al and Squig are proven pros and we are happy to place Huk in their hands and to have them lead our already strong team.”
Perkinson said: “The new energy and awareness that Huk has created in such a short space of time is unheard of in the fishing apparel market. Our goal will be to turn that wave of enthusiasm into sustainable growth by continuing to fuel our customers’ passion for fishing and the outdoors.”
