Focusing on your fishing when it is pouring with rain can be tough, but a new wading jacket from Hodgman just made the job easier, says the US brand.
The Aesis Sonic WadeLite, part of Hodgman’s Spring line-up, quickly became a favourite among field testers when it was being developed and now promises to make the same impression on anglers who don’t like to miss a cast.
The popularity of the jacket stems not just because it is waterproof and windproof, but because of its breathable fabric and light weight. Breathability comes from the brand’s VTecH (Vapour Transfer Technology), while the three-layer system only feels like two layers, says Chris Derrick, Hodgman Brand Business Manager.
“We protect the breathable laminate with a cloud-mesh backing to provide a much more durable, rip-stop construction than can be achieved with two-layer shell jackets.”
The WadeLite’s seams are double welded and further reinforced with waterproof seam tape that rules out the use of stitch holes.
Perforated arm vents allow for added ventilation in warm conditions and the cuffs provide a seal against water flowing up the arm. There are two zipped hand pockets and a water repellant zipped chest pocket. The Aesis Sonic WadeLite Jacket is available now.
The Hodgman company, known for its waders and outdoor clothing, was founded in 1838 and is the oldest brand in the extensive Pure Fishing portfolio.
