Hobie revealed a limited edition model of its Mirage Outback fishing kayak at ICAST to celebrate the iconic model’s 15th year.
Only 500 of the bright orange craft have been made. Each is individually numbered and will be available from November this year. Subtle graphics depicting various fish species add to the boat’s uniqueness.
As Hobie’s first boat with moulded-in rod holders, the Outback kick-started the Californian company’s entry into the kayak fishing market and is used by anglers worldwide.
The Limited Edition is equipped with MirageDrive Turbo Fins, an oversized rudder, map pockets, an on-deck EVA pad kit and large accessory attachment points.
“The Outback has brought enjoyment to thousands of anglers and sales are still going strong,” said Hobie’s Strategic Development Fishing Analyst, Keeton Eoff.
