The second of four Hobie Bass Open Qualifiers for the Hobie Fishing Worlds IV takes place this weekend.
It is being held at the Kentucky Lake Dam Village State Resort Park, in Kentucky, from Friday (May 30) to Sunday (June 1). The qualifying event gives competitors the chance to join the Hobie fishing team captain, Justin Carter, and 2013 Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) Champion, Steve Lassard, to represent Team USA at the Hobie Fishing Worlds Final in Amsterdam, Netherlands in October.
Anglers from as far afield as Texas, New Jersey and Canada have already registered for the event.
A Hobie Fun Fest consumer event will be held alongside the qualifier. It is a chance for competitors to bring their families and friends to join in the festivities that are being held on the Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm. The event is also open to the public.
There will be a chance to try out Hobie kayaks, SUP’s and sailboats and also take part in clinics and fishing seminars.
