Costa Sunglasses has released Hamlin, the first of its new styles for 2014.
It has been named after Captain Ron Hamlin, the legendary angler who has released more than 27,000 billfish throughout his career and helped revolutionise sport fishing through his early adoption of circle hooks.
Costa’s Hamlin has tough, durable features, including co-injected moulded frames, sturdy integral and no-slip Hydrolite™ nosepads and temple tips. The extra-large fit boasts a wrap shape to protect against incoming glare.
Frame colours available include Tortoise, Matte Black, Blackout, White and – in late spring – Realtree® Xtra® Camo.
Costa’s Hamlin is available in its patented 580™ lens technology, which blocks yellow light from entering the eye, creating sharp colour enhancement. They also eliminate reflective glare and protect against UV rays.
Available in 580G (glass) or 580P (plastic), lens colours include Gray, Copper, Amber, Blue Mirror, Green Mirror and Silver Mirror. It is also available in Costa’s speciality Sunrise – said to be ideal for low light situations such as fishing at dusk or dawn.
Costa sunglasses are custom-built and hand-assembled in Daytona Beach, Florida, and come with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defect. Hamlin is also available in Costa Rx sun lenses which offer a one-year guarantee.
“Hamlin is a core Costa style, built to withstand rugged adventures and hash fishing conditions,” said Chas MacDonald, President of Costa Sunglasses. “We invest heavily in our technology to build the best performing, most comfortable sunglasses on the planet and we are excited about the variation of styles you will see in 2014.”
