Guideline’s new CRS rods, which will be arriving with dealers any day now, are high performance, lightweight, fast action models designed with reserves of power in the bottom part of the rod.

The Swedish company says the ability of the CRS range to enhance casting and carve tight loops will appeal to anglers as much as the reasonable price tag.

This first series consists of seven trout rods ranging from 8’ 9” to 9’, available in both four and six-piece versions.

The olive green blanks on which the rods are built are made from high-grade Japanese graphite reinforced with pre-carbon scrim. The cork grips are manufactured in Portugal and the lightweight reel seats feature aluminium components and are finished in titanium. The wood spacers are in Amboyna wood to complement the rod’s colour and wrappings.

The guides, both stripper and single leg, are from the Recoil brand. They are secured by short, amber-coloured, semi-transparent wrappings described by Guideline as “stunning.”

Each rod comes with a breathable, synthetic rod bag and triangular polythene rod tube coated in rip-stop fabric and equipped with carrying handle.
