International apparel manufacturer Grundéns and the Alaskan company, Salmon Sisters, have announced a new collaboration for 2018.

The two brands, both with roots in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, have partnered to create a new line of women’s gear for life and work on the water.

“We’ve been wearing Grundéns since we were kids, helping on the back deck of our family’s fishing boat. It’s so fun to now team up and design gear for women who work on the water,” said Salmon Sisters co-founder Emma Teal Laukitis.

The Grundéns X Salmon Sisters Maris Hoodie and Tights will be available this Autumn/Fall. The new products, designed by Salmon Sisters and built by Grundéns, are made to be worn under fishing bibs and rain gear. Full product features can be found at www.grundens.com and www.aksalmonsisters.com.

Grundéns’ roots date back to 1911 when Carl A, Grunden began producing traditional oilskins in Sweden for North Sea fishermen. Today the brand operates globally from Stockholm, Sweden and Poulsbo, Washington, USA.

Salmon Sisters was established in 2012 by sisters Emma Teal Laukitis and Claire Neaton and is based in Homer, Alaska.
