Paioli Sports has high hopes for ReCast RXE range
Following the success of its RXT rods, Italian company Paioli Sport is expecting great things from the RXE range launched this year.
The fundamental difference with RXE is that the rods are one piece, providing more power than their predecessors. But the manufacturer is equally excited about the potential for its patented SunCore process.
SunCore is the name of the coating produced during the firing of the blank, resulting in not just an aesthetically pleasing finish but also a considerably more durable blank.
“The SunCore process embeds a reticular metal structure in the carbon fibre composite itself, creating a very smooth finish with strong anti-friction characteristics,” explained Alisa Pirazzini, of Paioli Sport’s marketing department. “The surface of the carbon fibre is left untouched.
“Other poles in the market use invasive processes like grinding which can weaken the carbon fibres and compromise performance and durability. SunCore allows us to maintain the full properties of the materials we use in our rods without altering functionality. It is a revolutionary concept.”
The ReCast RXE series has been developed specifically for black bass fishing, but the rod’s lightweight, sensitive yet strong characteristics make them adaptable for other techniques and other predator species.
The range comprises 13 rods in all, covering everything from finesse fishing to extreme power. In the spinning category, lengths go from six foot two inches (two models), six foot three inches, six foot six inches and seven foot, taking in a wide variety of applications from perch and zander fishing to handling big Baltic bass.
RXE casting rods come in lengths of six foot two inches (two models), six foot three inches (two models), six foot six inches (two models), and seven foot (two models), offering a wide variety of solutions from finesse fishing through to a very light, deep crank version.
