Great start for EFTTEX 2016 – visitor numbers up 27%

EFTTEX 2016 started with a flourish yesterday with the Amsterdam venue underlining its reputation as the spiritual home of the European tackle trade show.
On the first day the RAI exhibition centre in the heart if the city had welcomed 1,219 visitors through the door – up 27% on last year’s first day in the Polish capital of Warsaw.
As a result there was a buzz in the aisles and exhibitor booths healthily busy as the show got under way.
Marisol Pinillos, Membership and Communications Officer, said: “I am delighted by the turn-out on the first day and it is a good sign for the rest of the show and the industry.
“We knew that Amsterdam was a popular location and this attendance on the first day justifies our decision to host it here on a regular basis.
“This enthusiasm has been reflected in the Angling International-sponsored Best New Product Awards with 60 more entries compared to last year.
“We are looking forward to a great Gala Dinner tomorrow night when the industry gathers to honour what have been judged to be the best products in their respective categories.”
