Daiwa France S.A.S. and its Italian distributor FASSA have established a joint venture company called Daiwa Italy.
The move, announced on Tuesday by Daiwa’s parent company Globeride, is part of its sales strategy for southern Europe and will enable it to develop business in Italy through improved marketing and sales infrastructure.
The joint venture will be headquartered in Milan and brings together FASSA’s extensive experience and knowledge of its domestic market and Daiwa’s global strength in brand and product development.
President of the new company is Hiroshi Yoshimura, with Matteo Bernasconi and Diego Luzzani being appointed Daiwa Italy Vice President and Daiwa Italy Sales Manager respectively.
“FASSA has an established and excellent relationship with Italian retailers established over many years and Daiwa has a worldwide supply chain,” said Mr Yoshimura. “By combining the two we will deliver Daiwa products into the Italian market in the most effective way.”
Mr Yoshimura added that FASSA’s extensive knowledge of the development of products specific to the Italian market would complement Daiwa’s technology and skill in producing the best quality products for its Italian customers.
