Frabill has partnered with Fishouflage, the US manufacturer of camouflage patterns for clothing and other outdoor gear, to produce its new Fishouflage Ambush Outpost and Headquarters hub-style shelters.
The tent material for both shelters incorporates rip-stop side panels for increased weight to strength ratios, plus a 900 denier skirt for maximum durability in the high-stress areas.
Both also have a thermal top that retains heat and prevents condensation, ruling out the risk of dripping experienced with inferior shelters.
The corner doors have heavy-duty zippers and four clear removable windows. Frabill’s exclusive MaxVent system ensures air circulation inside the shelters, while the reflective piping on the outside alerts snowmobile, ATV and truck drivers to the shelters’ whereabouts.
The Ambush Outpost is for two people and measures 70” long by 70” wide by 80” high when erected, and folds down to 50” long by 8” wide by 8” high for transportation. Total packable weight is 27lb.
The Fishouflage Ambush Headquarters, described by Frabill as ‘an auditorium on ice’, houses six anglers. It spans 140” long by 70” wide by 80” high, while shaping down to only 50” long by 10” wide by 10” high for travel. It weighs in at 38lb. Both shelters come with transport bag and anchor kit.
