Frabill has come up with a new cooler system expressly designed for livebait anglers.
The Aqua-Life Cooler Conversion Kit is an aeration system that can be used to re-purpose coolers into bait stations that will keep bait alive for longer. The kit reduces stress conditions and is, says Frabill pro-staffer Pat Kalmerton, just what livebait anglers have been looking for.
“The Aqua-Life Conversion Kit keeps my bait alive in an insulated container large enough to hold hundreds of shiners or lots of huge suckers and chubs,” says Kalmerton, the head of Wisconsin’s Wolf Pack Adventures Guide Service.
US manufacturer Frabill has made the kit easy to install and use. It is hung onto the side of the cooler with a simple screw attachment and a toggle switch activates a micro-bubble diffuser to aerate the water.
Livebait kept in coolers of up to 100 quarts can be kept fresh by installing a pair of the Aqua-Life kits, explains Frabill.
The kit comes with installation hardware and air hose, along with a quiet aerator pump secured in a watertight 5.5 inch by 3.5 inch by 1.5 inch housing. It is powered by either two D-cell batteries (not included) or 12-volt and 110-volt adaptors, both of which are included.
