New to Australian, New Zealand and UK markets is a portable, smartphone-based fish finder that is small enough to fit in your pocket.
The Fishhunter fish finder is wrapped inside a waterproof silicon-polymer case the size of a baseball and uses military grade sonar to provide three views.
It works in all marine weather conditions, including ice fishing, and is compatible with more than 7,000 IOS and android smartphones and tablets, says its maker. Using a high frequency transducer, it provides water temperature, bottom contours, depth and fish locations.
“The Fishhunter fish finder can be taken everywhere to find the best possible fishing spots,” says company CEO Michael Smith. “We spent two years developing a fish finder that is completely portable, does not involve any installation and can be taken to places where you would not normally be able to use a fish finder.
“The Fishhunter offers the most advanced GPS tracking and mapping available on a smartphone. Fishermen can mark fishing spots by placing ‘pins’ on the Fishhunter map.”
With eight hours power from a single charge, it works over Bluetooth and requires no cell reception, reaching up to 40 metres in fresh or saltwater. It comes with sonar, car/boat charger, USB cord and lanyard.
