Fishing is major focus at fast growing Romanian show

More than 100 fishing tackle manufacturers will be exhibiting at one of Romania’s fastest-growing shows next month.
The Fishing & Hunting Expo is the country’s biggest show of its kind in the country. It takes place from March 22nd to 25th at the Romeexpo, in the Romanian capital of Bucharest. Over the two years since its inception, the event has grown from covering 5,000 sqm of floor space in 2016 to 11,500 sqm this year.
The event is mirroring the growth of the fishing and hunting sectors in Romania, with angling taking up more than 70% of the exhibition hall.
A record number of tackle manufacturers are lining up for this year’sevent including the most important players in the Romanian fishing tackle market, Energofish, Normark-Totalfishing, Mim Team, Decathlon, Givad-Powerfishing, Pepe Carpbaits, Mille Maistro, Baracuda, Relix Spinning, Pescamania and Etta Fishing, companies that have taken an average of 200 sqm of exhibition space.
Many international brands will also be represented by their local representatives to give the show a global flavour.
More than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend over the four days of the expo and check out products that cover all disciplines of the sport. There will also be fishing workshops and a chance for anglers to check out product on a special pond.
