The UK-based Farlows Group – owner of one of the world’s most famous tackle stores in the heart of London – has announced two sales appointments.
Sam Edmonds has joined Farlows in Pall Mall – famed for numbering royalty and the rich and famous among its clientele – as Sales Advisor, while Nick Clewlow has taken up a similar role at the group’s Sportfish Game Fishing Centre, in Theale, Berkshire.
Edmonds brings a wealth of fly and lure fishing experience to the business, gleaned from numerous fishing adventures both at home and abroad.
Recognising his mastery of lure fishing, Fox International recently signed him as a consultant and he is involved in the design and development of lures for the Fox and Salmo ranges.
Farlows Managing Director Robin Philpott said: “Farlows has long held the reputation of offering not just the finest equipment for anglers, but also delivering the best staff expertise and Sam’s appointment strengthens this further. His enthusiasm and knowledge of lure fishing tactics and techniques is already adding a new dimension to the team. We are delighted to welcome him on board.”
Clewlow has fished around the world and is a proficient fly fisherman and fly tyer. He said: “Sportfish is the most important retail brands in modern fly fishing and I’m delighted to have joined a team based at one of the top stillwater fisheries in the UK. I’m looking forward to the challenge and to getting a few of our customers out on the casting platform in due course.”
