Eposeidon Inc. is set to launch its high speed, low-profile baitcasting reel, KastKing Royale.
↑ Poseidon will also be launching a new kayak fishing rod in Orlando, the HD Phantom.
↑ The HD Phantom features technology from Eposeidon’s patent-pending Phantom rods in a powerful, 7-foot model built for 15lb to 40lb lines and 1oz to 4oz lures.

Eposeidon Inc. has called a press conference at ICAST to explain the ‘explosive overnight growth’ of its KastKing brand. The company, based in Long Island, New York, reports sales in more than 100 countries in less than two years.

Eposeidon will explain why KastKing is a model for selling fishing tackle in new global markets and why an American small-to-medium sized company can compete in the international market. It will also present its future worldwide expansion plans for sales of KastKing’s rods, reels, lines and accessories.

Among the products being launched by the New York brand in Orlando is the KastKing Royale Legend, a high-speed, low profile baitcasting reel. Based on the brand’s popular Royale model, the new Legend features centrifugal and magnetic braking systems and a 7:1 gear ratio.

Eleven noise-free, stainless steel ball bearings, an instant stop anti-reverse bearing, precision cut brass gears and 12lb of drag have gone into the reel’s construction.

“ICAST’s New Product Showcase is the perfect place to launch the Royale Legend,” says Tom Gahan, Eposeidon’s Marketing Director. “We proved through the Royale’s high sales volume that there is demand for this level of quality at an affordable price.”

Eposeidon CEO Tate Cui said that with a selling price of around $45, he hoped to capture a share of the high-speed baitcasting reels market.

KastKing will also be presenting a new kayak fishing rod at the Orlando show. The HD Phantom features technology from Eposeidon’s patent-pending Phantom rods in a powerful, 7-foot model built for 15lb to 40lb lines and 1oz to 4oz lures. A key attribute is a micro-polish finish that eliminates sanding and produces 10% more strength than other comparable rods, says Eposeidon.

The absence of paint reduces weight and increases the sensitivity of the blank, while the extra tight carbon fibre weave results in plenty of backbone and power.

“As with our new inshore rods, KastKing is responding to requests for a high performance kayak rod with more load capability to target muskies, bull reds, big striped bass, small shark and other large species,” said Gahan.

Eposeidon’s product lines also include MadBite Lures and Ercooda Pro Series reels.

The rod was designed with input from Team Eposeidon member, Elias Vaisberg, who qualified twice for the Hobie International Fishing Challenge by winning the Jamaica Bay Classic two years in a row.

Eposeidon’s product lines also include MadBite Lures and Ercooda Pro Series reels.
