The main objective of the event, alongside promoting fishing throughout the country, was promoting sustainable angling and the fight for cleaner waters. The exhibition took place in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta and was attended by both domestic and international visitors.
Many of the world’s top manufacturers were in attendance including Shimano, Daiwa and Pure Fishing brands Penn and Abu Garcia, Closer to home, Sure Catch and its Zerek brand from Singapore and Relix Nusantara and DuraKing from the host country were represented. Also exhibiting was the American apparel brand, Columbia Sportswear.
PT Central Sarana Pancing brought precision tools and machines from its laboratory to the exhibition hall where tests were held on the strength of its and competitors’ lines. Relix field anglers also introduced a new knot that was well received and won a strength competition against samples from rival manufacturers.
