Following a successful debut at EFTTEX, Icross Flyfishing is already planning to extend its horizons.
The Swedish-based company is the developer of the Icross, a craft that has been designed to get anglers safely and nimbly across the water. It is now looking ahead to exhibiting at ICAST, the world’s largest fishing tackle trade show, in 2019.
Adam Westerman, founder of the company, believes that the North American market will be ideally suited to his creation. Icross sits between a belly boat and a kayak, but at a price point that eclipses the two. It made its debut at Sweden’s Sportfiskemassan show, where it was well received by anglers and those within the trade.
“Our appearance at EFTTEX was very positive and we have collected a number of leads from different countries across Europe. That has given us the confidence to look further afield to ICAST. We already have representation in the Quebec area of Canada and are keen to grow in North America as a whole,” Westerman told Angling International in the hall at EFTTEX.
