Fishing tackle giants, Shimano and Daiwa, will be showcasing new reels at this week’s revamped Salon de la Pêche en Mer – widely regarded as Europe’s biggest sea angling show.
The organiser has gone back to basics and is concentrating on the event’s core strength – sea fishing – after a brief attempt to widen the appeal of the show to cover all aspects of the sport.
It is a decision that has seen the return of a number of big names in the industry, including Shimano, Rapala and Pure Fishing.
At the show, which starts on Friday (March 3rd) at the Parc des Expositions, Nantes, and runs until Sunday (March 5th), Shimano will be showing off the Ultegra FB and Sahara F1 for the first time in Europe.
Daiwa France will also be unveiling two new reels, an updated version of the Morethan and a new member of the Saltiga family – the BJ 2017.
Pure Fishing brands Abu Garcia, PENN, Spiderwire and Sébile will also be in attendance alongside Fiiish, Ultimate Fishing and rod maker, Hearty Rise.
