A brand new category of fishing paddlecraft made its debut at the ICAST tackle trade show in Orlando, Florida.
The CruiserBoard Company introduced its products to the worldwide fishing market for the first time at the Orange County Convention Centre.
The CruiserBoard is different because it has both a seat and a leaning post that allows the paddler to fish from either a seated or standing position.
“It is essentially a hybrid paddlecraft, filling the gap between kayaks and SUPs,” says the company’s Neal Esterly. “Fishing from a CruiserBoard is much more comfortable and far drier than from a flat-water kayak and easier to paddle than an SUP.”
“With built-in rod holders and an uncluttered deck, it allows the angler to move around easily. It paddles exceptionally well and is extremely stable, making it suitable for anglers of all ages and abilities.”
The new craft’s patented, adjustable seat is housed in two seven-foot deck tracks, which also accommodate a number of Scotty fishing accessories. It is made in the USA by Bounce Composites.
CruiserBoard’s appearance at ICAST follows a successful local debut at the San Diego International Boat Show, with the company becoming the only exhibitor to feature on the front page of the San Diego Union Tribune’s business section.
