Costa has introduced two new sunglasses – Seapoint and Tern – as part of its late 2014 collection.
A classic aviator shape, Seapoint offers a medium fit that features Costa’s patented frame of nearly indestructible co-injected moulded nylon. It also has sturdy integral hinges and no-slip Hydrolite™ nosepads. Frame colours include White + Black, Black Pearl, Coconut Fade, Black Fade and Scotch. It retails at $149 (US).
Tern features a sleek, rectangular frame shape with five-barrel hinges and no-slip Hydrolite nosepads. Colours include: Pomegranate Fade, Coconut Fade, Topaz Fade and Shiny Black + Amber. Retail price is $159 (US).
Both sunglasses can be customized with Costa’s gray, copper or amber 580P™ lenses. These block yellow light, the harshest light, from entering the eye to give an ‘unmatched’ level of polarisation and ‘razor sharp’ colour.
The 580P lenses also feature a premium anti-reflective coating and protect against harmful UV rays, allowing the eyes to relax while on the water. They also incorporate the brand’s C-WALL™ technology, a coating that repels oil, water and dust.
“Our goal when we design all of our sunglasses is to seamlessly combine our 580 lenses – the clearest on the planet – with the season’s latest styles, trends and colours,” said Chas MacDonald, President of Costa. “Seapoint and Tern are perfect examples of that combination coming together.”
