Cortland introduces its new Indicator Mono
Article Media - Video
“We live to fish. And because we fish, we know that the difference between success and failure on the water can depend on your line.” So says Cortland, and it should know. From its base close to the crystal-clear trout streams of New York State, the company has been making some of the world’s best fly lines for almost 100 years. Given that heritage, it’s no surprise that Cortland has a wealth of new product prepared for 2012. Among them is Cortland’s Indicator Mono, introduced here in a new demonstration video from the company.
Indicator Mono is a special monofilament that Cortland manufactures in super bright solid colours to stand out against any background and remain visible in low light conditions. It is, says Cortland, perfect for European and high stick nymphing techniques when used as a straight indicator, or for constructing coiled French-style indicators. Cortland adds: “Our special dye process helps maintain colourfastness, even if the product is boiled for a prolonged period of time. Try the fire red/bright yellow bi-colour or the super yellow single colour version.”
Cortland Indicator Mono is designed to work with Cortland’s new Competition Nymph line. For details of all new Cortland launches for 2012 click here.
