With three different carp over 30kg to his credit during a big fish career spanning more than 15 years, Christian Finkelde’s record is admired by carp anglers throughout the world.
So when the German genius says he has taken bait attraction to the next level, he is certain to command a big audience among the carp fishing fraternity.
Finkelde is referring to his Power Gel Dips. “If you want to make your hook baits even more attractive just dip them into our Attracta or Food Source liquids and then into the Power Gel powder,” he explains.
“You can repeat the process several times using different dips and liquids to obtain different layers of attraction. Once in the water the gel-like coating constantly sends out food signals that not only attract carp through their smell, but also through their highly-visible colours.
“This product is already among our top sellers and is available in a variety of scents, tastes and colours to cater for most anglers’ needs.”
Although primarily designed for hook baits, Power Gel Dips can also be used for loose feed. The feed is dampened before being sprinkled with some of the powder, given a shake to ensure it is coated and is then ready to use. Some anglers also use the dry powder in their PVA bags.
Another Finkelde tip when shallow water fishing is to use the powder to conceal the hook, thus preventing any reflection to spook nearby fish.
Power Gel Dips are available in 75gm tubs in selected flavours that match Finkelde’s Attracta liquid range. There are several new flavours available for 2013, including the Shell, containing ground mussel shells, and the Crunch, containing ground nuts.
Other popular sellers are the Monster Crab XL versions in brown and pink as well as the CF1 Squid and Liver in pink or new fluoro green.
