The Daytona Beach, Florida business says that John Sanchez will work alongside Moody in the same Vice President role until the latter retires at the beginning of April. A former Vice President of Zeal Optics, Sanchez has more than 23 years of experience in eyewear manufacturing and sales with brands that include Maui Jim, Serengeti, Bolle’ and at Bausch & Lomb with Ray-Ban.

He played a large role in the company’s growth and expansion and is credited with bringing Costa’s 580™ colour enhancing lens technology to market.

“Ed may have announced his retirement from Costa, but he will always be part of our family and a key part of our brand’s legacy,” said Chas MacDonald, President of Costa. “John is a worthy candidate to step into Ed’s role, with an incredible background in our industry. He and Ed will work closely together in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.”

• Christopher Reilly has been named as National Sales Manager for the Tycoon Tackle Fly Fishing Division.

He will have the responsibility of further developing the agent network and promoting sales of its fly fishing line. He will be based in the Northeast United States.

Tim O’Brien, President of Tycoon Tackle, said, “We are excited to have his knowledge of fly fishing, fishing tackle, and guiding anglers. He will be a tremendous asset to the company. I am looking forward to working with him in the coming years.”
