US eyewear brand, Costa Sunglasses, has appointed the industry veteran, Jeff Ravreby, as its Eastern Regional Optical Sales Manager.
In his new role, Ravreby will be responsible for growing sales and distribution of the Florida-based company’s plano and prescription sunglasses as well as coaching and managing Costa’s sales team in the region.
“We’re projecting phenomenal growth across our prescription line of sunglasses in 2016 with the addition of several new technologies,” said Renato Cappuccitti, Director of Costa Rx Sales. “Jeff brings a strong success skillset to our team and we look forward to implementing a lot of the ideas he’s generating to grow relationships between our company and ECP’s.”
• Top US lure manufacturer Mann’s Bait Company has signed the Bassmaster Elite Series pro, Micah Frazier. The new member of the pro staff at the Eufaula, Alabama-based company said: “I look forward to becoming a vital part of the Mann’s family and helping to continue its history of providing quality and innovative new products for anglers worldwide. The brand has tremendous value and name recognition within the sport of bass fishing.”
Veteran Mann’s pro-staffer and former Bassmaster Classic Champion, Paul Elias, added: “I have only known Micah for a short time, but I am super-impressed with his performance on the Elite tour and I believe he will be a great asset to Mann’s, as well as to the sport.”
• Flambeau Outdoors, exclusive supplier of Zerust anti-corrosive tackle and gear, has announced its sponsorship of Bass Elite Series angler, Mike ‘Ike’ Iaconelli.
The only angler to win all three of the biggest titles in professional bass fishing – the Bassmaster Classic (2003), Bassmaster Angler of the Year (2006) and B.A.S.S. Nation Championship (1999) – Iaconelli will rely on Flambeau tackle storage and other equipment during this year’s tournament schedule, kicking off with the Bassmaster Classic in March. He will also help the company with new product development.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Ike on board with Flambeau,” said Chris Gurreri, President of Retail Markets and Packaging Group at Flambeau. “He’s one of the most recognised and exciting figures in professional bass fishing and his appeal is probably more wide-ranging than anyone else out there.”
“When you are fighting the elements day in and day out in a very competitive sport, it’s crucial to have your gear organised and well protected,” said Iaconelli. “That’s why I am so happy to be working with Flambeau – its tackle management gear is the best in the business. No one else makes boxes that actually fight rust and keep all your best lures like new.”
