Cashion has announced the release of its new Shad Rap rods. The introduction is well timed for cold weather cranking and the rods are the first spinning models offered with a moderate-fast action by the North Carolina company.
Manufactured with a precise taper and smooth parabolic bend, the rods are designed to cast small crankbaits with increased efficiency and enough sensitivity to avoid ripping the treble from biting fish.
“This is the perfect spinning rod for small crankbaits,” says Elite pro, Jamie Hartman. “They combine a moderate fast tip with a proper backbone action.
“These rods will throw small plugs further and more accurately and the six foot nine inch length is ideal for working the bait around docks and other structure.”
The #5 and #7 medium models are designed for smaller and shallower running balsa crankbaits, while the #8 and #9 versions are intended for larger shad raps and balsa crankbaits.
The rods are built in the US on blanks incorporating Cashion’s uni-directional technology. They also feature Fuji Micro guides and Cashion’s carbon fibre grips.
