Carp Zwolle underlined its standing as arguably Europe’s most popular carp show when it was held for the 24th time earlier this month.
The show, staged at the IJsselhallen-Zwolle complex, attracted around 16,000 visitors last year and a similar attendance thronged to this year’s show to get a look at new products on 145 booths from 16 different countries.
Exhibitors interviewed by Angling International were thrilled with the event, with Jan Jablonksi, of Austrian company, JJ-Fishing, describing it as the ‘biggest and greatest trade fair’ he has seen.
“It was an amazing event,” added Jablonski. “Our new Camo Water Resistant clothing range attracted a lot of interest. We found some new customers and will be back next year.”
Fox International also exhibited at the three-day event. “It was very good, the best carp show in Europe,” said Lewis Porter, Group Marketing Manager. “We definitely found it very good value.
“The product that created most interest was the FX420 Camo Boat Bivvy. It was the stand-out product of the whole show, not just on our stand.”
Sonik Sports also experienced a good show. “It was very good in general,” reported Commercial Director Ian McCormack. “The show was well organised and the attendance met expectations. Friday was a little quieter, as expected, but the show would have been too crowded if it had been crammed into only two days.
“The amount of people we saw made it good value for us. The VaderX and DominatorX rods and reels created most interest among visitors.”
