Canada gets its biggest Carp Zoom delivery yet
Carp Zoom’s Canadian distributor is set to receive its biggest ever shipment as demand grows for the company’s products in North America.
Such has been the success of the Hungarian fishing tackle manufacturer’s products that Steve Istvanov, of Ontario-based CSI Distribution, is considering extending its reach to the United States.
Istvanov told Angling International: “The popularity of Carp Zoom products is growing steadily in Canada among the smaller stores and in just over four years we have gone from three retail outlets to 15 – with three more expected to come on stream in 2014.
“This year we will receive our largest shipment from Carp Zoom including fishing rods, reels, bivvies, chairs and the predator baits that have proved so successful in targeting the channel cats we have in Canada.
“Carp and catfish anglers really appreciate the quality of the baits, the terminal tackle and bivvies. The next step for us is to attract interest from the big box stores in Canada.”
Interest in Carp Zoom spiked recently when its products were featured on Canadian TV for a second time and Istvanov said there are also plans for them to be shown throughout North America in programmes aired by the World Fishing Network (WFN).
“The success of Carp Zoom in Canada has persuaded us that there is a market in the US also and we will be looking to that this year. It is a completely different proposition to Canada, but I believe there is great potential out there,” added Istvanov.
