Anglers in possession of a classic Browning pole that is ten years old or more have a chance to fish a special match being staged by the Zebco Europe brand.
The ‘retro’ event will be held in Essex in the UK in October this year and is limited to anglers owning and using pre-2005 Browning poles. It is expected to celebrate old poles including the Carboxy, Titanium, Legend and early Black Magic models.
Entrants will be in the distinguished company of Bob Nudd, but the former world champion will not be eligible to win the first prize of a Browning Xitan pole.
“Browning has been making poles for more than 40 years and we still have lots of customers who own or use one of our older models,” said Frerk Petersen, Marketing Director for Zebco Europe/Browning. “We love to see these old ‘warhorses’ brought out for this special match.”
It is the second year the competition has been held. The inaugural event tool place at Tunnel Barn when Browning poles up to 25 years old were used. The winner, Clive Nada, used a 20-year-old Advance.
Visitors will be welcome at the Coleman’s Cottage Fishery on October 10th and will get the opportunity to try Browning’s latest pole range.
