The winner of the Best New Accessory Award at EFTTEX 2013 says it has everything in place to begin making deliveries of its combined bite indicator and smartphone app that so impressed the judges one year ago.
The ANDA Sport bite indicator and app is said by its makers to be ‘the first device of its kind’ thanks to the quality of information that is relayed from the indicator to an angler’s smartphone using Bluetooth technology. The ANDA Sport app does not only sound an alarm when there is a bite, it also gives real time reports of the angle of the rod in the mount, including changes in that angle over time. It also incorporates a highly sensitive drop bite indicator.
The company will be returning to EFTTEX in Brussels with an updated design of its indicator and a plan to meet with as many tackle retailers as possible over the three days of the show.
Says chief developer and company owner Zeljko Miskatovic: “EFTTEX last year was the best thing to happen to our company. No one knew about us before Vienna, but that changed after winning the award. It was a big surprise to us because we were competing against a lot of established companies and the competition was fierce.”
Added Miskatovic: “We also received some important feedback about the indicator, which we have used to make improvements over the past year, especially to the clip.
“We have our production facilities in place and have finalised the packaging so now we are ready to take orders. At Brussels we want to meet with retailers from France, Benelux, Switzerland and the UK, especially online shops.
“We are delighted to be returning to EFTTEX in Brussels. Last year was the introduction to our company, this year we are coming to take orders from retailers and begin selling our indicator all over Europe.”
Interested retailers can arrange meetings before the show by contacting Zeljko Miskatovic directly or, in Brussels, by visiting EFTTEX stand M34.
