New for 2013 from the Suick Lure Company is what it describes as the ‘biggest’ improvement to the world-famous Suick Muskie Thriller since its invention in 1939.
Traditionally made from northern pine, the Thriller has been renowned for putting trophy muskie and pike in the boat for over 70 years. Now, the company says, this year will see a major change with the introduction of the Suick Muskie Thriller HI (High Impact).
The new lure retains the same great design that made the original famous, but it is now moulded from solid plastic to make it virtually indestructible.
Additionally, it has the following features:
• Through-wire construction;
• Perfect balance;
• More pronounced side-to-side action.
The Suick Muskie Thriller HI is 9ins long, weighs 2½oz and is available in 12 colours – Perch, Walleye, Flat Black, Lemon Head, Baitfish, Wild Sucker, Firetiger, Orange Black Dots, Chartreuse Bandit, Baby Duck, Tiger Shad and Raging Perch.
Suick will continue to produce the Thriller in wood, but has introduced the Thriller HI for anglers who prefer all-plastic baits. “The new plastic bait is so easy to fish that even newcomers to the sport will have no trouble working it with the same deadly action as the original,” said Mike Suick, of the Antigo, Wisconsin, company.
“We are confident that muskie anglers everywhere will embrace the new Thriller HI just as they have the original.”
