Berkley agrees deal with Bassmaster Tournament Trail

Berkley, the Pure Fishing brand, has signed a new deal to continue its long-established relationship with the Bassmaster Tournament Trail.
Berkley will be an official Premier Sponsor of the GEICO Bassmaster Classic, Bassmaster Elite Series, Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Open Series presented by Allstate and the Cahartt Bassmaster College Series for the next three years.
“Berkley’s entire range of products, including line, soft and hard baits, tools and rods, will be used for the various Bassmaster tournaments.
“We are very excited to continue our partnership with B.A.S.S. and the Bassmaster events,” said Cara Finger, Director of Marketing Services at Pure Fishing. “B.A.S.S. embodies the pulse of today’s anglers, which we believe is right in line with what we value at Berkley. With the partnership we are committed to fostering growth within the sport, while maintaining an attitude of conservation so future generations can continue to enjoy fishing.”
Bruce Akin, CEO of B.A.S.S., which owns and operates the Bassmaser events, said: “We are proud to have Berkley as a longtime member of our sponsor family. Its commitment brings a strong presence to the ever-expanding sport of bass fishing and we look forward to continuing our joint efforts in growing the sport.”
In addition, Berkley, maker of Trilene, PowerBait and Havoc, has also signed up to partner the fast-growing Basssmaster High School Series in 2015.
“It’s great to see a longtime B.A.S.S. sponsor like Berkley participate in our youth initiatives and also encourage the growth of our Bassmaster High School Series programme,” said Hank Weldon, B.A.S.S. College High School and Youth Tournament Manager. “With Berkley’s support we are going to take the High School platform to new heights in 2015.”
