A new company, making never-seen-before fish attractants, has been launched in Canada.
BaitCloud, based in Oakville, Ontario, made its industry bow at this year’s ICAST in Orlando. It has developed and formulated a series of products specifically designed to enhance and stimulate activity and improve fish catch rates at specific fishing locations.
BaitCloud balls weigh approximately 1.5oz and are 1.6ins in diameter and use multiple sensory methods to draw fish. These include smell, from fish oils, amino acids and proprietary scents, and sound, created by the balls’ effervescent bubbling action. Visual attraction is also provided by Bio-Glitter, a bio-degradable, iridescent imitation of fish scale reflections.
Significantly, BaitCloud does not contain either fish parts, live bait or prepared bait that would disqualify the product from tournament use or prevent its use under other fishing regulations.
BaitCloud is recommended for various applications, including ice fishing, shoreline, dock and pier fishing, carp fishing and for gathering baitfish.
It is available in seven colour-coded formulations developed for specific species. It is retail packaged in a clear plastic tube containing three balls and there is a point-of-sale display designed into each case of 12 tubes to support merchandising.
