The ASA has warned companies to be alert to a scam where the ICAST attendee list is offered for sale.

The organiser of ICAST has warned exhibitors of a scam that is offering the list of attendees at the world’s largest fishing trade event for purchase.

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) says that companies have reported receiving emails claiming to have the list for sale. It says: “Don’t fall for this scam. Only ICAST staff and Experient, our official registration company, have access to the registration list. No other company is authorised to distribute or sell any lists for the event.”

It adds that ICAST cannot be held responsible for any interaction or sale with these fraudulent companies.

“We take this matter very seriously and will do whatever possible to protect our exhibitors, partners and attendees.”

If you are contacted by a company claiming to have access to the ICAST attendee list, please forward that email to
