The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) is holding its popular Summit from October 4 to 7 in New Orleans.
Staged at the Ritz-Carlton, the event is the only venue where people representing the entire recreational fishing community come together to discuss a wide range of issues and events that impact the future of the industry.
All ASA members and non-members are encouraged to attend so that they can gain a better understanding of how the organisation works on their behalf and that of the industry. The networking breakfasts, lunches and Hospitality Suite also offer informal ways to discuss issues that impact on your business.
Items on the agenda include:
Tuesday, October 4 – In addition to the afternoon Board of Directors meeting, there is a Party with a Purpose reception to recognize the association’s SportfishingPAC contributors and introduce members to the its Capitol Hill lobbying group. Everyone is welcome to attend this reception evening.
Wednesday, October 5 – Members and guests meet for breakfast and then break out into ASA committee meetings. Lunch is followed by afternoon general business sessions. David and Jonah Stillman are the keynote speakers. The evening is capped off with the official welcome reception.
Thursday, October 6 – Jay Baer is the keynote speaker. The annual dinner and awards presentations takes place in the evening at the National World War II Museum. The reception and dinner is included in the registration.
Friday, October 7 – On the last day of the Summit, the board of directors meets just before the General Membership meeting.
