American Tackle adds duo to growing team

American Tackle has added a new Director of Promotions and Pro Staff and a new sales representative to its growing team as it seeks to tap into new sources of revenue.
“We are branching out into new revenue streams and these appointments will help us do that,” said President and co-founder Joe Meehan.
“We are committed to our grassroots efforts in promoting the brand and we are betting on social media to reach a large audience that is eager for something new.”
As Director of Promotions, Evan Sanders will take charge of the rod building pro-staff as well as launching the company’s all-new Angler Pro Staff programme. He will be responsible for boosting social media presence and running promotions at events.
Sanders has been a pro-staffer with Livingston Lures, Egret Baits and P-Line. A kayak fishing expert, he has recorded top five finishes in all the tournaments he has competed in during the last year. He has extensive experience of product demos at retail stores and public speaking in schools.
Alex Funke joins the company’s sales team after impressing part-time at trade shows and in the office. “He does everything with contagious enthusiasm,” said partner and VP Darrin Heim. “He has a strong perspective on the high school youth movement that we wish to capture.”
